Florida Medicaid Long-Term Care
Eligible members may receive authorized long-term-care services in a nursing facility, assisted-living setting, or at home. Eligibility, plan enrollment, service authorization, E'Lou provider status, and the permitted setting must all be verified. Home- and community-based coverage generally does not pay ordinary rent or room-and-board.
Florida Medicaid Managed Medical Assistance
A Medicaid medical plan may cover qualifying doctor, hospital, behavioral-health, pharmacy, transportation, or other medical benefits. It should not be presented as payment for ordinary residential housing.
Original Medicare
Medicare may cover qualifying short-term skilled-nursing, home-health, therapy, equipment, or other medical services when its rules are met. It does not pay for long-term residential housing or ordinary custodial room-and-board.
Medicare Advantage
Some plans may offer limited supplemental in-home, transportation, meal, or support benefits. Benefits differ by plan and year and must be authorized. A supplemental benefit is not automatic coverage of rent or permanent housing.
Private long-term-care insurance
A policy may reimburse qualifying home care, personal care, respite, assisted-living, or nursing-facility expenses after its benefit conditions are met. Coverage depends entirely on the individual policy and approved care setting.
Commercial and employer health plans
Plans administered by organizations such as Florida Blue, Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Molina Healthcare, Sunshine Health, Simply Healthcare, or Community Care Plan may cover separately ordered healthcare when the member's policy requirements are met. Listing a company does not mean E'Lou is contracted or that housing is covered.
VA Homemaker, Home Health Aide, and Respite Care
Eligible enrolled Veterans may qualify for VA-authorized home and community services, including Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care or Respite Care. Services must meet VA clinical and community-care requirements and be arranged through an approved or contracted provider.
Veteran-Directed Care
Where available, eligible Veterans may receive a consumer-directed budget for approved home and community-based support. The Veteran or representative works with a counselor to create a spending plan and arrange workers.
TRICARE, TRICARE For Life, and CHAMPVA
Eligible military families or survivors may have healthcare benefits for authorized services. Home-health coverage, referrals, prior authorization, participating-provider requirements, and patient responsibility must be confirmed before care begins. These programs do not automatically pay ordinary rent.
